Image of Ambiq’s Artasie Real Time Clocks (RTC)Ambiq's RTCs function as an extremely low-power keep-alive source for the system, bypassing the need for the main MCU to power down the device to conserve power. It monitors the system while the components are powered off for a user-configurable power-up event while consuming only nanoamps of power. Make use of the internal power switch operation to place the product in SHIP mode for long warehouse timings. The product can sit on the shelves for extended periods and still power up with the consumer, ideal for sealed battery applications. They feature baseline timekeeping, advanced timekeeping, and power management.

  • Proprietary calibration algorithm digitally tunes the RC and XT oscillator frequencies with accuracy as low as 2 ppm
  • Integrates a power switch with ~1 Ω impedance to cut-off ground current on the host MCU and reduce sleep current to <1 nA
  • Ambiq’s innovative Subthreshold Power Optimized Technology (SPOT) CMOS platform
  • Serves as a companion part for host processors
  • RC oscillator and autocalibration modes are supported
