The Silvertel Ag5700-LPB series Power over Ethernet (PoE+) IEEE802.3at PD modules feature a low-profile surface-mount and miniature footprint. The series is designed with a small form factor, ease of use, and implementation for designers at the forefront. The Ag5712-LPB and Ag5724-LPB modules extract power from a conventional twisted pair Category 5 Ethernet cable, conforming to the IEEE802.3 PoE standard, with full backward compatibility with the IEEE802.3bt, IEEE802.3at, and IEEE802.3af amendments.

The Ag5700-LPB is pre-configured as a Type 2 Class 4 device, allowing the module to draw up to 30 W of power from the PSE, with nominal output voltages of 12 V or 24 V available.

The high-efficiency DC/DC converter can achieve up to 89% efficiency and operates over a wide input voltage range with low ripple and noise output. It also has built-in output overload, output short-circuit, and overtemperature protection and provides a 1,500 V_DC (input to output) isolation barrier.
