QPA1722 Ku-Band GaN Power Amplifier
The Qorvo QPA1722 Ku-Band GaN power amplifier is a 17.7 GHz to 20.2 GHz, 10 W saturated output, high-efficiency MMIC for SATCOM and radar
The Qorvo QPA1722 is a high-power Ku-band MMIC amplifier designed for demanding RF front-end applications in satellite communications and radar systems. Built on the Qorvo 0.15 μm GaN-on-SiC process (QGaN15), it delivers robust performance with excellent linearity and efficiency in a compact SMT package.
Operating across 17.7 GHz to 20.2 GHz, the QPA1722 provides up to 10 W saturated output power (40 dBm) and 5 W linear power with third-order intermodulation distortion (IMD3) of -25 dBc. It achieves 26 dB small-signal gain and 35% power-added efficiency, making it suitable for size- and power-constrained platforms, such as LEO satellites and advanced radar systems. Integrated features like a power detector, on-chip blocking capacitors, and DC-grounded I/O ports simplify system integration and enhance reliability.
